New kitchen gives boost to our Pete’s Place project

In August, we temporarily closed Pete’s Place so we could strip out and modernise the church kitchen. The kitchen is used throughout the week and, on Wednesdays, provides around 60 hot meals to the local community.

The renovation was made possible by generous funding from the Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (Common Ground Award grant).

While the old kitchen had served us faithfully for many years, the upgrade was long overdue and will significantly improve our capacity for outreach and hospitality. We are grateful to our dedicated volunteers and to YCE, our principal contractor, for bringing the project to completion.
